Privacy Policy

Last updated: [Last updated: e.g. 4 July 2026]

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Bleed.host ("Bleed", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the rights you have. It applies to our website and hosting services. We are the data controller for the personal data described here; contact us at legal@bleed.host.

1. Data we collect

Account & billing data: name, email address, and billing details you provide when you register or purchase. Payments are processed by our payment providers — we do not store full card numbers.

Technical & usage data: IP address, browser and device information, and logs relating to your use of the service and control panel, collected to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Support & communications: the content of tickets, emails, and Discord messages you send us.

2. How we use your data

To provide and manage your services and account; to process payments and prevent fraud; to provide support; to secure our network and investigate abuse; to comply with legal obligations; and to send you service and, where you have opted in, marketing communications.

3. Legal bases (UK/EU)

We rely on: performance of a contract (to provide services you order); legitimate interests (to secure and improve our services and prevent abuse); legal obligation (e.g. tax and law-enforcement requests); and consent (for optional marketing, which you can withdraw at any time).

4. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies/local storage needed for the site to function and to remember preferences (such as your chosen currency). We do not sell your data. [If you add analytics or advertising cookies, disclose them here and provide a consent mechanism.]

5. Sharing & processors

We share data only with service providers who help us run Bleed, under contract and only as needed. These may include our payment provider, hosting/network and DDoS-protection providers (e.g. Cloudflare), email/ticketing tools, and Discord (if you contact us there). We may disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

6. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as you have an account and as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and regulators of a breach where required.

8. International transfers

Our infrastructure and providers may process data in the UK, EU, US and Canada (where our regions are located). Where data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email legal@bleed.host. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

10. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date shows the latest revision; material changes will be highlighted on the website.
